Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation and Powder Review

When I first started off with makeup, I was obsessed with the drugstore. It's a great place to explore makeup without emptying your entire wallet. However, in my particular experience, it's not the greatest place when it comes to foundations. I've tried numerous amount of foundations within my first year of experimenting with makeup but I was never able to get my color right. I have either went too dark or way too light. Another problem I had was the undertone of these products. They are just way too pink!

In terms of drugstore, Maybelline seems to somewhat please me the most in terms of face products. Their Fit Me Concealer (20 Sand Sable) and Instant Age Rewind Concealer (Neutralizer) are  some of my favorite concealers of all time. I've tried their Dream Wonder Fluid-Touch Foundation and although I very much loved the formula, I just couldn't get past the super pinkish tone it had.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation
I decided to give it a try because I love the Fit Me concealer so much plus it had an amazing price of $7.99 for 1 fl oz. Within the fit me collection, there is two versions of this foundation; the dewy version (or the original version) and the matte and poreless version (the newest launch). I got the matte and poreless one since I do have combination to oily skin.

Packaging:[]
All right. Nothing too fancy but doesn't look cheap either.

Shade Selection: []
There is 16 shades to choose from. I got the shade 128 Warm Nude. (If you were wondering, I am an NC25- NC30 in MAC cosmetics). For once, I got the shade right (YES!) buttt I would say it is a tad just a slightttt bit pink for me. However, I just use a more yellowy powder over it and it seems to do the trick.

Consistency: []
Has some thickness to it where it would not run down your arm but it's not super thick.

Longevity: []
On me, max is 5 hours. It's not a super long wearing foundation but keep in mind, there is no claims stating that it is a long wearing foundation.

Oil-Controlling and Matteness: []
When you first apply it, you get this demi-matte, somewhat satiny look which I like. Although it says oil-free, it does not control oils at all. I find that by the 2nd or 3rd hour, I need to powder myself or else I become one gigantic grease ball. Another thing to note is that it does cling on to your dry patches so I would exfoliate and moisturize beforehand.

Coverage: []
Medium

Overall: []
This is a good day to day foundation where you are just running some errands or meeting up for some brunch but that's about it

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder

Packaging:[]
Again, all right. Nothing too fancy but doesn't look cheap either. The packaging is quite sturdy and there is a mirror and sponge included so it is travel friendly product.

Shade Selection: []
There is 8 shades to choose from. I got the shade 130 Buff Beige.

Oil-Controlling and Matteness: []
Gives a nice demi-matte finish to the skin but it is not an oil controlling powder.

Overall: []
This is an all right powder. Nothing too amazing but it's not bad either. I currently use it everyday hence the dent in it but that's just because I haven't found a powder that I am head over heels about.

Let me know how you guys like it? ANDDD what's your holy grail powders are!
Well that's all I got to say! Until our next chat!

TOP 3 FAVS [PERFUMES- Marc Jacobs Daisy, Victoria's Secret Victoria, Bath and Body Works Country Chic]

Perfumes..well... scents in general are such a personal thing. So, I want to first off asking you guys what are your top 3 favorite perfumes?

Oh..did you just ask me what my favorites were?..Wait.. you didn't? Well I'm just going to tell you anyways haha!

First up is the  Marc Jacobs Fragrance Daisy Eau de Parfum retailing for $88. This is the Eau de Parfum version which is a lot stronger and longer lasting than the Eau de Toilette version which comes in a white and clear packaging.
Notes- Strawberry, Violet Leaves, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Gardenia, Violet Petals, Jasmine Petals, Musk, Vanilla, White Woods
Pros:
Lasts all day
Don't need a lot (one spritz is more than enough)
Not super florally or sweet either
Packaging is everything
 Cons:
Black packaging makes it hard to see how much product you have left

Next up is the Victoria's Secret "Victoria" Eau de Parfum. I have the roller ball version but once I finish using it up, I will definitely be repurchasing this in the full size version.
Notes- red berries, Victoria rose and crème brûlée
Pros:
Packaging is so me
Smell is again not super floral or sweet... On the Victoria Secret website, they categorize this as a fruity floral.
Packaging is everything
 Cons:
The packaging on the roller ball is terrible!.. Make sure it is always standing upright or you would get some major leakage
Doesn't last super long...maybe max 3 to 4 hours

Lastly on my Top 3 List of Perfumes is the Bath and Body Works "Country Chic" Eau de Toilette. Unfortunately, it is discounted but I will link the Fine Fragrance Mist instead.
Notes-
Top Notes: Sparkling Lemon, Grapefruit Zest, Juicy Pear, Marigold
Mid Notes: Fresh Raspberry, Golden Sunflower, Day Lily, Sheer Gardenia, Orange Blossom
Dry Notes: Peach Nectar, Vanilla Orchid, Cedar Wood, Amber Wood, Airy Musk
Pros:
A very clean, quite refreshing scent
Lasts a long time
Affordable ($29.50 for 2.5 oz)
 Cons:
Can only get it online now
No Eau de Toilette version

Well that's all I got to say! Until our next chat!
